Barnes Squash Club, London

Barnes Sports Club is a limited company. It has four component sports sections: hockey, cricket, tennis and squash.

Each section is autonomous and contributes to the operating costs of the club as an entity. If you join a section then you are also a member of the club. To use the squash courts and club facilities, individuals need to become members of the Barnes Squash Club. There is no joining fee and we try to keep the annual subscriptions as low as possible.

The squash membership fees are set each year to cover running and capital investment costs. The membership year runs from Oct 1 through to Sept 30. These are the subscriptions for the 2016 / 7 annual membership year.

Members are provided with an electronic swipe key that gives them access to the squash courts. They are also given access to the online court Booking system. Courts can be booked for 40 minutes between 8am and 9:30pm every day of the week.

Changing rooms and hot showers are available to members during evenings and weekends, a key can be obtained from behind the bar.

Once somebody has become a member the court lights operate via a token system. Each token provides lighting for 40 minutes and cost £4.00 for social and league games alike - there is a "warm-up" lights facility so you get the most from your game. The tokens are available in the club house, from behind the bar, on a simple book-out and cash box system.

On Wednesday evenings (7.15pm - approx 9.30pm) we have a club night which anyone can turn up to and pay to play - so if anyone has the desire to come along one week and try it out, new guests are always welcome. We normally have 4-6 attendees on a typical evening so you generally get a few games against mixed competition.

All members are welcome to join the club box league. New league members are advised to come along to a Wednesday club night to help determine which league represents their playing standard. To join the league send an email to the league administrator using the Contact page of this website, and where possible any game results against existing members.
